Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
10 Principles for peace of mind. Real all about it on my blog www.thinknauman.blogspot.com

10 Principles for Peace of Mind

1. Do Not Interfere In Others' Business Unless Asked:

Most of us create our own problems by interfering too often in others' affairs.
We do so because somehow we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic is the perfect logic and those who do not conform to our thinking must be criticized and steered to the right direction, our direction.
This thinking denies the existence of individuality and consequently the existence of God..
God has created each one of us in a unique way.

No two human beings can think or act in exactly the same way.
All men or women act the way they do because the conscience within them prompts them that way.
Mind your own business and you will keep your peace.

2. Forgive And Forget:

Love flourishes in giving and forgiving.
This is the most powerful aid to peace of mind.
We often develop ill feelings inside our heart for the person who insults us or harms us.
We nurture grievances.
This in turn results in loss of sleep, development of stomach ulcers, and high blood pressure.
This insult or injury was done once, but nourishing of grievance goes on forever by constantly remembering it.
Get over this bad habit.
Life is too short to waste in such trifles.
Forgive & Forget, and march on.

3. Do Not Crave For Recognition:

This world is full of selfish people.
They seldom praise anybody without selfish motives.
They may praise you today because you are in power, but no sooner than you are powerless, they will forget your achievement and will start finding faults in you.
Why do you bend backwards in striving for their recognition?
Their recognition is not worth the aggravation.
Do your duties ethically and sincerely.

4. Do Not Be Jealous:

We all have experienced how jealousy can disturb our peace of mind.
You know that you work harder than your colleagues in the office, but sometimes they get promotions; you do not.
You started a business several years ago, but you are not as successful as your neighbor whose business is only one year old.
There are several examples like these in everyday life.
Should you be jealous?
No, on the contrary plod on,your time will come.

5. Change Yourself According To The Environment:

If you try to change the environment single-handedly, the chances are you will fail.
Instead, change yourself to suit your environment.
As you do this, even the environment, which has been unfriendly to you, will mysteriously change and seem congenial and harmonious.

6. Endure What Cannot Be Cured:

This is the best way to turn a disadvantage into an advantage.
Every day we face numerous inconveniences, ailments, irritations, and accidents that are beyond our control.
If we cannot control them or change them, we must learn to put up with these things.
We must learn to endure them cheerfully.
Believe in yourself and you will gain in terms of patience, inner strength and will power.

7. Do Not Bite Off More Than You Can Chew:

This maxim needs to be remembered constantly.
We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out.
Know your limitations. . Why take on additional loads that may create more worries?
You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities.
Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer, introspection and
meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless.
Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind.

8. Meditate Regularly:

Meditation calms the mind and gets rid of disturbing thoughts.
This is the highest state of peace of mind.
Try and experience it yourself.
If you meditate earnestly for half an hour every day, your mind will tend to become peaceful during the remaining twenty-three and half-hours.
Your mind will not be easily disturbed as it was before.

You would benefit by gradually increasing the period of daily meditation.
You may think that this will interfere with your daily work.
On the contrary, this will increase your efficiency and you will be able to produce better results in less time.

9. Never Leave The Mind Vacant:

An empty mind is the devil's workshop.
All evil actions start in the vacant mind.
Keep your mind occupied in something positive, something worthwhile.
Actively follow a hobby.
Do something that holds your interest.
You must decide what you value more: money or peace of mind.
Your hobby, like social work or religious work, may not always earn you more money, but you will have a sense of fulfillment and achievement.
Even when you are resting physically, occupy yourself in healthy reading or mental chanting of God's name.

10. Do Not Procrastinate And Never Regret:

Do not waste time in protracted wondering " Should I or shouldn't I?"
Days, weeks, months, and years may be wasted in that futile mental debating.
You can never plan enough because you can never anticipate all future happenings.
Value your time and do the things that need to be done.

It does not matter if you fail the first time.
You can learn from your mistakes and succeed the next time.
Sitting back and worrying will lead to nothing.
Learn from your mistakes, but do not brood over the past.

Don't waste money on expensive ipods. Simply think of your favourite tune and hum it. If you want to "switch tracks", think of another song you like and hum that instead.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that,

The Toilet Cleaner...Amazing Story......THE RIGHT ATTITUDE GETS YOU PLACES... Unemployed………………..

An unemployed worker applies to Microsoft for the position of Janitor. After going through tests and interviews ,the H.R. manager informs him that he is selected and request for his email address to which he wanted to send the employment contract and details of the day and time to start work.

The man is distraught and answers that he has no computer and therefore he has no email . The H.R. boss tells him that if he has no email address he virtually does not exist and therefore cannot hold a job. The man leaves in a desperate mood without knowing what to do , with his last $ 10 in his pocket. Finally he decides to go into a supermarket and to buy a 10 lb box of strawberries. He starts selling them door to door by the pound. He manages to double his capital in 2 hours. He repeats the deal 3 times more and goes home with $ 60 in his pocket. He comes to see that he can survive this way. He starts every day earlier and come home every day later. So he triples or quadruples his money every day.A short time later he buys a wheel barrow, that he exchanges later into a truck and sooner or later he is the owner of a complete fleet of delivery truck.

5 years go by…..THE MAN IS NOW THE OWNER OF ONE OF THE LARGEST FOOD CHAIN STORES IN THE U.S.A.

Now he starts thinking about the future for him and his family and decides to buy a life insurance policy. He calls an agent and selects a good policy. At the end of the negotiations, the agent asks him for his email address to send him a confirmation of the policy. The man tells him that he doesn’t have an email address!!! That’s strange says the agent, you have no email address and nevertheless you built this large empire. Can you imagine where would you be if you had an email address??

The man briefly thinks and answers: I WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOILET CLEANER WITH MICROSOFT COROPRATION.

Moral 1 of the story: The internet does not solve all the problems in our lives.
Moral 2 of the story: When you have no email address but work hard you can be a millionaire.
Moral 3 of the story: You have received the story by email. Therefore you are closer to a janitor than a millionaire.

Nevertheless have a great day… networking with the likeminded…linking the very mind , soul herats to realize your individual and professional goals, linking to make this world a smaller place to live work meet greet and be a success.
Don’t answer this email of mine Since I am out busy buying Strawberries

The Worst Words to Say at Work

Some words and phrases are often used to buy time, avoid giving answers, and escape commitment. If you use these words and phrases yourself, take a scalpel and cut them out of your thinking, speaking, and writing.
"Try"
"Try" is a weasel word. "Well, I'll try," some people say. It's a cop-out. They're just giving you lip service, when they probably have no real intention of doing what you ask. Remember what Yoda says to Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars": "Do or do not--there is no try." Take Yoda's advice. Give it your all when you do something. And if it doesn't work, start over.
Put passion into your work, and give it your best effort, so you can know that you did all you could to make it happen. So if the outcome you were expecting didn't come to fruition, it's not because you didn't do everything you could to make it happen. It just wasn't the right time for it or it wasn't meant to be.
"Whatever"
This word is a trusted favorite of people who want to dismiss you, diminish what you say, or get rid of you quickly. "Whatever," they will say as an all-purpose response to your earnest request. It's an insult and a verbal slap in the face. It's a way to respond to a person without actually responding. When you say "whatever" after another person has said his or her piece, you have essentially put up a wall between the two of you and halted any progress in communicating. It's a word to avoid.
"Maybe" and "I don't know"
People will sometimes avoid making a decision--and hide behind words and phrases like "maybe" and "I don't know." There's a difference between legitimately not knowing something and using words like these as excuses. Sometimes during a confrontation, people will claim not to know something or offer the noncommittal response "maybe," just to avoid being put on the spot. If that seems to be the case, ask, "When do you think you will know?" or "How can you find out?" Don't let the person off the hook so easily.
"I'll get back to you"
When people need to buy time or avoid revealing a project's status, they will say, "I'll get back to you," and they usually never do. If people say they will get back to you, always clarify. Ask them when they will get back to you, and make sure they specify the day and time. If they don't, then pin them down to a day and time and hold them to it. If they won't give you a day or time, tell them you'll call in a day or week and follow up. Make sure you call and get the information you need.
"If"
Projects depend on everyone doing his or her part. People who use "if" are usually playing the blame game and betting against themselves. They like to set conditions, rather than assuming a successful outcome. People who rely on conditional responses are fortifying themselves against potential failure. They will say, "If Bob finishes his part, then I can do my part." They're laying the groundwork for a "no fault" excuse and for not finishing their work.
There are always alternatives, other routes, and ways to get the job done. Excuse makers usually have the energy of a slug and the spine of a jellyfish. You don't want them on your team when you're trying to climb Mt. Everest.
"Yes, but . . ."
This is another excuse. You might give your team members suggestions or solutions, and they come back to you with "Yes, but . . ." as a response. They don't really want answers, help, or solutions. You need to call the "Yes, but . . ." people out on their avoidance tactic by saying something like "You know, Jackie, every time I offer you a suggestion you say, 'Yes, but . . . ,' which makes me think you don't really want to solve this problem. That's not going to work. If you want to play the victim, go right ahead, but I'm not going to allow you to keep this up." After a response like that, you can be assured that the next words you hear will not be "Yes, but . . ."!
"I guess . . ."
This is usually said in a weak, soft-spoken, shoulder-shrugging manner. It's another attempt to shirk responsibility--a phrase that is muttered only when people half agree with you but want to leave enough leeway to say, "Well, I didn't really know. . . . I was only guessing." If you use this phrase, cut it out of your vocabulary.
"We'll see . . ."
How many times did we hear our parents say this? We knew they were buying time, avoiding a fight or confrontation, or really saying no. It's better to be decisive and honest by saying, "I need more information. Please present your case or send me the data--both pro and con--so I can make an informed decision." That way, the interested parties will contribute to an in-depth, well-researched "verdict."
"Its been a rough day. I got up this morning .... put on a shirt and a button fell off. I picked up my briefcase and the handle came off. I'm afraid to go to the bathroom."

Can you solve this riddle ?
What occurs once in every minute, twice in every moment, but never in a thousand years?

Difference between Leaders and Managers

Leaders are born leader, they can not be made however managers can never be born they can learn to manage the things. Thats what I have learnt in my life, Many People believe that managers are actual leader for their organization but its not True, A Leader must be a good manager but a good manager can not necessarily be a good manager. There are few qualities which are usually there in the leaders which distinct them from the manager.

1-Purpose

There is difference between the core ideology of the both, sole purpose of the leaser is to welfare the people he/she actually leads and on the other hand the purpose of the manager is to welfare of the organization. A manager is working for some monetary and non monetary benefits but what leader perceive while leading is success, honor and acknowledgement. Money and other incentives have secondary importance for the leaders.

2-Personality

In the personality of the manager there exist several fear which may be in the form of job insecurity, competition, changing technology and a lot of other issues but in case of leadership, leaders exist beyond such fears, they are undaunted and courageous. Managers may sometime prove coward while making decision but leaders never hesitate to make a difference.

Beside this, leaders are born to be lead due to charisma of their personality but in case of manager they usually don't have such charisma the only thing they do have is authority on the basis of which they actually role in the organization. Leaders have their own natural style, in contrast to that manager usually borrow their style from some one else who can be a manager or a leader.

3-Time Horizon

Manager think short term, they have their ideas for a small time but leaders think for a distant they have their views for long term prospective, some time people usually disagree with them in short term but in long term they got the success when people started getting result. All the great leaders have never compromise on short term benefits in fact leaders always defer the short term benefits for getting success in long term.

4-Behavior

The behavior of leaders is such that they try to originate the thing but the manger innovate the thing, leader believes on the doing the things right but leaders does the right things. Managers are there in organizations to manage the thing or administer the thing but on the other hand leaders go for the plan and achieve the things.

5- Status Quo

Managers usually accept the status quo and want to remain in the situation of status quo as less effort involved in the state of status quo while in contrast to that, leaders hate the situation of status quo and go for breaking the ice of the berg in order to keep pace with the world.

No doubt the leaders can be managers and managers can be leaders but it is not always the case, the different always exist and of course level of leadership and managerial level always varies from person to person and situation to situation
